Siona

​The Siona people have territory between the Putumayo and Napo rivers in the Amazon region of Colombia and Ecuador. They call themselves as Zio Bain which means “people that cultivate the land”. We are working with the Siona people along the Aguarico River, where their territory is surrounded by oil operations, African Palm plantations, colonist land invaders, and roads.
